Joshua is a specialist intellectual property lawyer, advising in relation to IP litigation and also the protection and exploitation of IP rights. He maintains a broad practice and has a particular interest in engineering and technology, including renewable and clean energies and decarbonisation.

His recent experience in this sector includes:

  • acting in a High Court patent dispute concerning energy-saving water filtration technology;
  • advising the designer of a novel floating wind turbine foundation in a design and development agreement with a large conglomerate;
  • advising a client on a collaboration agreement for the development of a carbon dioxide mineralisation facility;
  • advising in relation to the investment in green hydrogen electrolysis technology; and
  • advising on the IP aspects of a major FPSO refit project to decarbonise it for operation in the North Sea.

Joshua is a co-author of the intellectual property chapters in 'Offshore Construction Law and Practice' (2nd edn) from Routledge.
